Introduction

English 900 ("the App") respects and protects your privacy. This policy explains what data the App collects, why, and how you stay in control.

What we collect

Anonymous usage statistics: app opens, screens visited, study and check-in counts, settings changed.
Crash and performance reports: stack traces from crashes, device model, OS version, app version.
An app identifier: a random ID generated by the analytics service to distinguish devices. It cannot be used to identify you.

What we do NOT collect

No personal identity data such as your name, phone number, or email.
No location data.
No access to contacts, photos, messages, or call logs.
No device identifiers such as IMEI, MAC address, or Android ID.
No advertising identifier, and no ads are shown.
No account or sign-in of any kind.

How we use this data

To understand which features are actually used and where things break, so we can decide what to improve and what to fix. All statistics are used only to improve the App itself. They are never used for advertising and never sold to third parties.

Third-party services

Analytics and crash reporting are provided by Google Firebase (Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics). Data is handled by Google under its own privacy policy: https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy

Data storage and permissions

Your learning progress, check-in records, and settings are stored only on your device and are never uploaded. The App itself requests network access, to send the anonymous statistics above, and a foreground-service permission, to keep audio playing when the screen is off or the App is in the background; neither involves personal data. While audio is playing, the system shows its standard playback controls (course name, current sentence and playback buttons) in the notification area and on the lock screen; this is displayed only on your device and is never uploaded. Google Firebase additionally declares network-state, wake-lock and install-referrer permissions so it can upload in the background. The App requests no advertising-identifier permission and collects no advertising identifier.

Children

The App is suitable for learners of all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
